Wellbeing, prevention and training
Psychology for businesses, schools and organisations
psychology for businesses can turn a specific need into an opportunity to support, train and strengthen people. At Ocnos, we design tailored talks, workshops and programmes for professional teams, educational settings, parent associations, charities and public-sector organisations.
A strategic and human decision
Mental health is also shaped in the places where we live, learn and work
Organisations cannot prevent every personal, workplace or educational difficulty. They can, however, foster a culture that helps people recognise signs of distress, speak more openly, reduce stigma and understand where support is available.
The Spanish Ministry of Health cites the World Health Organization estimate that around 15% of working-age adults experience a mental health problem. The Spanish National Institute for Safety and Health at Work also reports that mental health conditions are now the second leading cause of temporary incapacity for work in Spain.
In education, mental health affects learning, relationships and participation. A one-off talk can raise awareness, while an ongoing programme creates more scope to develop skills, coordination and prevention in greater depth.

Businesses and professional teams
Talks and workshops for businesses that want to support people with a clear plan
A business may want to prevent burnout, improve communication, train its managers or respond to a concern that is already affecting the team. Our psychology for businesses service starts with that specific need, because every intervention requires different objectives.
psychology for businesses is not about offering empty messages such as “be positive” or “manage stress better”. We design workplace mental health and emotional wellbeing initiatives around real situations. We use understandable concepts, realistic examples and practical actions that respect both the individual and the organisation’s role and boundaries.
- Stress management, recovery and burnout prevention.
- Communication, conflict, boundaries and difficult conversations.
- Healthy leadership, psychological safety and team cohesion.
- First steps when someone shows signs of distress: listening, signposting and referring responsibly.
- Workplace bullying, discrimination and a culture of respect, approached from an educational perspective.
- Organisational change, uncertainty, motivation and adaptation.
- Sleep, healthy routines, digital boundaries and recovery outside work.
- Diversity, inclusion and LGBTQ+ wellbeing in the workplace.
Schools, colleges, parent associations and universities
Psychology for educational settings: prevention, skills and support
In education, content must be adapted to age, the school or college context and each adult’s role. A session for students should not be designed in the same way as staff training or a talk for families.
We therefore agree the language, examples, expected participation and response to any disclosure or safeguarding concern in advance. Sessions are educational and preventive; they do not replace individual assessment or the setting’s official safeguarding procedures.
- Exam anxiety, academic pressure and perfectionism.
- Self-esteem, body image and social comparison.
- Social media use, cyberbullying and digital wellbeing.
- Positive relationships, bullying and the role of bystanders.
- Emotional education, frustration tolerance and self-regulation.
- Self-harm, warning signs and how to seek help, approached safely.
- ADHD, autism, high learning potential and understanding neurodiversity.
- Careers guidance, uncertainty and decision-making.
- Training for families on boundaries, communication and support.
- Staff self-care and prevention of emotional exhaustion.
A flexible range of topics
Topics for psychology talks and workshops
These are common areas of work. We can also develop a specific proposal when an organisation is facing a different need.
Wellbeing and mental health
Relationships, teams and positive environments
Children, teenagers and families
Life stages and community
Genuine flexibility
We choose the format around the objective, not the other way round
A talk can inspire and raise awareness. A workshop allows participants to practise. An ongoing programme helps consolidate skills. We help you choose.
Short talk
A focused format for campaigns, internal events, themed days or an introduction to a topic.
Participatory workshop
A session with exercises, questions, case discussion and practical tools for smaller groups.
Modular programme
Several connected sessions that allow participants to explore, practise and review what they have learned.
Online format
Training by video conference for distributed teams, families or participants in other locations.
How we work
A clear proposal from the first conversation
We do not sell a generic session without first understanding the organisation. In every psychology for businessesproject, our process is designed to make the content relevant, safe and useful.
We listen to the need
You tell us what is happening, who will take part, what has already been tried and what outcome you hope to achieve.
We define objectives
We agree the topics, boundaries, duration, format, level of participation and accessibility requirements.
We design the intervention
We prepare the content, activities and materials using language appropriate for the audience.
We deliver and review
We deliver the activity and, where appropriate, gather feedback to guide the next steps.

Responsible scope of the service
Our psychology for businesses service for schools, organisations and professional teams is educational, preventive and informational. Group activities do not diagnose participants, replace psychological therapy, investigate allegations of bullying or harassment, or carry out the psychosocial risk assessment required within an organisation’s formal prevention system. When an individual need arises, we provide appropriate information and signposting.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about talks and programmes for organisations
How do we request a proposal for a business or educational setting?
You can contact us by WhatsApp, email or telephone. To prepare a psychology for businesses or educational proposal, we will need to know the type of organisation, audience, topic, approximate number of attendees, location, preferred date and objective of the activity.
Do the talks have fixed content?
No. We start from common topic areas, but adapt the language, examples, depth and activities. When a topic is particularly sensitive, we also agree in advance how questions, disclosures and referral needs will be handled.
Can the activity be delivered in Spanish or bilingually?
Yes, when the project and assigned psychologist allow it. Ocnos works across the Campo de Gibraltar and Gibraltar, so we can prepare proposals in English, Spanish or bilingually.
How long can a talk or workshop last?
It depends on the objective. An introductory talk may last between 45 and 75 minutes. A participatory workshop usually requires longer. We can also offer a sequence of sessions or programmes delivered over several weeks.
Do you work with large groups?
Yes. We can deliver talks for auditoriums and large events, although workshops involving practice and participation work better with smaller groups. The proposal will explain which format is likely to be most useful.
Does a talk replace a company’s psychosocial risk assessment?
No. Psychological training can complement a wellbeing strategy, but it does not replace an employer’s legal prevention duties or the technical assessment required from its occupational risk prevention service. For organisations in Spain, this includes the requirements of Law 31/1995 on the Prevention of Occupational Risks; organisations in Gibraltar must follow the applicable local framework.
Can you provide individual support to someone who asks for help during the activity?
A group activity is not a clinical consultation. We can listen initially, provide information about support and explain how to request a professional assessment. In an emergency, the relevant services and procedures must be activated.
Do you travel outside Palmones?
Yes. We travel throughout the Campo de Gibraltar and Gibraltar, and consider proposals in other locations. We also offer online activities when that format is appropriate.
